Alper Zan, Café Rouge The UK Restaurant Manager of The Year 2014!
Our UK Restaurant Manager of the Year competition, showcases front-of-house food and beverage service excellence in a nationwide search for the best restaurant managers in the UK.
Through a series of challenging stages, we seek to find the restaurant manager who excels front-of-house, has fantastic people skills, is able to manage and inspire a team, and can demonstrate strong business acumen and a thorough knowledge of the restaurant trade.
The exhilarating competition process, from the first stage through to the grand final, is followed and judged by industry experts. All entrants have a unique opportunity to put themselves and their talents in front of some of the biggest names in front-of-house food and beverage service. The overall winner is announced at a gala dinner attended by the great and the good of the industry, where finalists receive the recognition they deserve and their achievements are celebrated.
The winning restaurant manager receives the ultimate accolade of being crowned UK Restaurant Manager of the Year, plus a once-in-a-life time, career-enhancing prize. In the past, this has included a week in New York to complete a stage at one of the Big Apple’s top restaurants.
