VENUE:

Maison de la Région Languedoc-Roussillon

6 Cavendish Square

W1G 0PD London

.

3.30 – 5pm : 14 September 2009

.

With 290,000 hectares of vines, Sud de France/Languedoc-Roussillon area is the world’s largest single wine-producing region, representing a third of the volume of France’s wine production.

.

The region is now making a wide range of world-class wines, thanks to its clement climate, excellent terroir, a policy of replanting grape varieties, and the sustained efforts of a growing number of dedicated, passionate vignerons.

.

Join us for this FREE Roussillon Masterclass tasting on 24th September 2009, organised in association with the Academy of Food & Wine.

.

You’ll have the opportunity to sample a number of red, white, rosé and fortified wines, including the hidden gem, Collioure blanc 2007 from Abbé Rous and the prestigious Rivesaltes ambré 1982 from Arnauld de Villeneuve. Learn step-by-step how to pair them with a range of foods and how each blend of subtle tastes will appeal to your clients.

.

This superb session will be led by Eric Aracil, Export Manager at the Roussillon generic wine body.

.
