The Academy of Food and Wine is delighted to extend its successful wine service training programme to CHI Hotels and Resorts and to be visiting Malta first before moving on initially to other CHI properties in Tunis, Lisbon, Prague, Budapest and St Petersburg.

"We have developed a focussed, interactive four stage programme of wine training, from foundation learning tier to advanced Sommelier diploma level. This is planned to be rolled out across the CHI Hotels and Resorts properties around Europe and is part of a continuous annual programme of training for CHI. The initial series will be jointly delivered by myself and Paul Breach, my Vice Chairman, over a period of 3 days starting at the Corinthia St George Hotel, St Georges Bay, Malta to the majority of the front of house staff from all the CHI Hotels and Resorts properties in Malta", said Nick Scade Chairman of the Academy of Food and Wine.

"At the end of the programme the candidates will be able to confidently handle the service of wine as well as have enough wine knowledge to advise their customers on a suitable wine to match their menu choice, and the top achievers will then go on to further more advanced Academy sommelier training courses on a rolling annual programme" he added.
